Excellent built quality

Build quality is solid. All the controls are good. Back paddles placement is perfect for me.
The only negative would be the software, which is hit or miss when trying to save onboard the controller.

What a controller and amazing customer service !

I've been hesitating on ordering on gadget hyper for a couple of months. I decided to purchase the vader 5 pro on their website and that was the best decision that I could have made.

The delivery service went well and I tracked my order during the whole process (living in France, it reassures me a lot).

Had a small problem with one of the back paddle of the vader 5 pro and the customer service was the quickest and the nicest I ever had (props to Emily for her work, if she's taking car of your demand, be sure that you're in good hands).

Gadget Hyper is THE company where you want to order all your controllers !

Bad QC and utterly terrible customer service. Predatory Return/Refund system that doesn't exist

The face buttons are much stiffer than the Vader 4's, and the right stick on mine is extremely mushy when clicking down when held up/in the North position to the point of being extremely awkward to use. Also, the overtravel paddles and the "solution" is a joke and not consistent.

GadgetHyper's response to this, after several days of long waits between e-mails?

"We contacted Flydigi and they said that's normal, and to just click the right stick only when it's centered!"

That isn't a solution. That's telling me to "deal with it."

You're forcing me to use a terrible quality product and trying to bully me into not getting my money back for it with your predatory Return/Refund system.

This isn't a trend either, folks. I've encountered this same dismissive, predatory return/refund process everywhere with companies that sell tech.

Why should anyone buy from smaller retailers in 2026 and onward when the Return/Refund process is uncaring, dismissive and extremely agonizing to go through? "Send us proof send us proof send us proof."

Your company doesn't experience such a high volume of returns to justify this, these predatory policies are just to force consumers to keep subpar products to maximize profit for you. Knowing this, they probably also just deleted negative reviews, too.

My hope is that, if this review actually does go live, even briefly, that even just a few people see this:

TL;DR:

Just stick to Amazon in 2026 and onwards, because you're actually going to get a Refund in the actually promised 30 day window after purchasing, not empty promises, dismissals and being made to jump through hoops in back and forth e-mails for days on end to intentionally slowly push you out of that 30 day return window.

AVOID FLYDIGI AND GADGETHYPER AT ALL COSTS.

V5P is a dope controller

My controller history is Scuf Reflex Hall Effect, Scuf Reflect FPS (potentiometer version), and Dual Sense Edge with Battle Beaver Magneto Mech TMR sticks. The Vader 5 Pro has become my daily driver controller over all others while gaming on essentially every genre. My main games are The Finals and as of lately Marathon along with some puzzle games.

Very happy with the purchase overall the software works fine for me and I got a solid unit from Gadgethyper. I enjoy the controller so much that later down the line ill probably end up getting one of the V5P special edition variants

Great, not Perfect

So this is a good improvement over the Vader 4 pro with improved feel, buttons, and connection. I also like how it looks better since it matches my Steam Deck theme. The really like the adjustable joysticks to help my improve my accuracy in FPS / shooter games where I need the tension to make my shots.
Also, it has the known issue for the back paddles to break after frequent use due to poor design of a limsy plastic connector.
For me the BIGGEST issue is with the latest Steam OS. The controller dongle is NOT recognized, and it only works out of the box with Bluetooth, which is a severe limitation for purchasing a controller like this.
I did find a fix if you search Reddit subs on either r/controller or r/steamdeck and/or search for xpad instructions on Github. The fix is NOT easy though, it requires writing a new file using the Steam OS editor Kate, typing the required lines exactly, saving it as 99flydigi.rules in the correct location, and using terminal to enter the correct commands for it to be seen. Hopefully this will be resolved in later Steam OS updates, as you have to manually redo it every update.
Now that it is working with my Steam Deck I REALLY enjoy and love the controller A LOT!

Almost perfect…

Okay the positives first
-Latency is excellent
-Tensions rings are definitely better than the Vader 4 pro, they don’t loosen as much overtime(still do)
-The D-Pad is really good, with no miss inputs
-Triggers are dead silent and really well dampened, and the micro switches feel great
-Build quality overall feels premium
-The buttons feel very nice to press

Now the bad
-The QC is really bad
-My units tension rings are already starting to rattle quite a bit and they change by themselves overtime( not as bad as on the apex 5 since it’s easier to adjust )
-One of the tension rings is loose enough to where the sticks are making loud clacking sounds when pushing up only
-One of the rear buttons feel kinda loose and makes spring noise from time to time
-Stick tensions on both sticks aren’t the same, even with the same tension settings

Overall it’s a really good controller that does a lot of things right. I just wish FlyDigi’s QC was better. Cause almost all of the controllers I bought from them has one issue or another, I haven’t gotten a single controller so far that had zero issues. Ive just been putting up with it cause it isn’t major enough for now, and it’s a great controller other wise. I’d say it’s a great buy if you are willing to take the QC gamble, if not I’d look at other companies like 8bitdo and GameSir.

The last Controller you will ever need

I've had my Vader 4 for a year, and it has been my favorite controller. I recently upgraded to the G7 Pro; it’s a good controller with some features that are better than the Vader 4, but I still find myself leaning toward the Vader for its adjustable sticks and extra buttons. I used the Vader 4 to complete Hollow Knight, including the Path of Pain, and I think its biggest weakness is the d-pad. Such a light press to activate caused many misinputs and unnecessary deaths.
The Vader 5 feels like the answer to all my problems.
First, the d-pad: It is noticeably stiffer than the Vader 4 in all the best ways. I started Silksong with my G7 and finished it with the Vader 5, all the way to the Lost Lace fight. The d-pad is phenomenal.
Second, the triggers: The Vader 4 has the ability to switch from normal triggers to clicky triggers—something the Apex 4 and 5 do not have. The Vader 5 steps it up; it still has the switchable triggers, but they have a better actuation point. They feel almost like hair triggers, which is why I love my G7 so much.
Third, the extra buttons: In total, the Vader 5 has eight extra buttons: two extra triggers, two extra face buttons (great for fighting games), and four back buttons. Two of the back buttons can be removed entirely. To be clear, you don't have to program any of them, but someone like me who likes variety loves having these options. The only downside is that you have to install the Space Station 5 software to do so. The Vader 4 only had six programmable buttons and the G7 only has four. While four is enough for most people, having eight is something you can't take for granted until you don't have it.
Fourth, input latency: I never thought the Vader 4 was slow, but when comparing it side-by-side with the Vader 5, you notice the delay. They advertise the improved speed a lot on YouTube and in their marketing, and it shows.
Fifth, the feel: The reason I originally upgraded to the G7 was because the Vader 4 felt a little cheap. The plastic wasn't bad, but it was all very hard. The G7 has rubberized grips on the back which feel much more comfortable. The Vader 5 has added those rubberized grips too. The front plastic also feels like it's made of a different material that is much more premium than the Vader 4. All the buttons feel more precise with less "play." Even the stick tension mechanism is improved; my Vader 4 often loosens up over time on the max tension setting, but the Vader 5 still feels very stiff. There is a chance it might loosen with time, but out of the box, the mechanism was harder to turn, so I believe it will hold up.
These are all the reasons why I believe this should be your final controller... except for one thing. The Vader 5S was just announced. It is a wired controller, but the only difference is that it can be used on Xbox. My hope is that they release a wireless version in the future, but getting Xbox certification for a wireless controller is very expensive. Personally, I don't use an Xbox often, so the Vader 5 Pro is the perfect controller for me.
Everything about this controller feels more premium than its predecessor. FlyDigi really listened to the community. They addressed the smallest complaints about the stick adjustment mechanism and the plastic feel. The d-pad was the biggest complaint, and they completely nailed it.
The response time is almost unmatched, making it a no-brainer to recommend. The only person I couldn't sell this to is someone who prefers a cross-style d-pad over this rounded version. I'm going back to Hollow Knight to see if this d-pad makes a difference in the Path of Pain, but after finishing Silksong, I know it is far better than the original.
Also, the docking station is cheaper for the Vader 5 compared to the Vader 4, so I would suggest buying the bundle. It is the perfect controller for everything from shooters to platformers. Some complain that it uses magnetic sticks rather than TMR. While TMR is more battery efficient and arguably more precise (like on the G7), I’ve always preferred the Vader for shooters because of the adjustable tension and the joystick kits that extend the height. The Vader 5 might have a shorter battery life than TMR controllers, but if you have the docking station and dock it every night, you’re good. I haven't had my Vader 5 die on me yet. Don't believe all that TMR slander!(You can use the same sticks from the Vader 4 on the Vader 5)

Near perfect controller

Coming from the Vadar 4, V5 pro got a few upgrades! Been using it for MHWilds and Expedition 33, responsive and accurate! Also get the charging dock!

Pros:
- Additional Buttons
- Clicky buttons ABXY
- RGB light bar
- Response time is insanely good for wireless
- Software works great!

Cons:
- Not all buttons are clicky
- Will take some time to get use to new back buttons

Vader 5 pro

Almost a direct improvement on all fronts. Only the change of the back button placement leaves to be desired (I liked the ones on the back plate itself and they were removed). Almost greatest controller of all time.

Vader 5 pro with dock

The customer service was excellent. I accidentally placed the wrong address. Instead of a machine replying, a human assured me that they changed the address even though it says otherwise online. True enough, I received my package on the right address. The control itself is excellent. Except for the left tension ring. It gets loose. Everything else is perfect.

The good, the bad and the great.

Very short version:
Decent prices, great customer service (service provided by Emily from GadgetHyper)

Normal version:

I have ordered the "Flydigi Vader 5 Pro Wireless Charger Dock Bundle" the 4th of July, and received it the 15th of July 2026. The 11 days of transport/handling is expected when shipping from China.

When testing the product, i noticed half of the LED's on the docking station did not work.
The controller itself works as advertised, and all the functions but the front lights on the dock was working as well.

On the same day i received the bundle and tested it, i contacted GadgetHyper's support department regarding above mentioned issues.

Here i was kindly greeted by Emily. Emily made great reassurances in their mail, and asked for further details/video of the issue for issuing the correct solution.
After sending the video, i got informed it was most likely en hardware fault, and they would like to send an replacement.

The time it took for resolving the issue with Emily was roughly two days, which in my book is incredibly fast when dealing with warranty/product issues.

The shipping time for the second dock was from the 16th of July to the 23rd of July, a total of 6 days.

Looking at the whole ordeal, i can only say that i personally like the pricing, and very much like the assistance provided by Emily from GadgetHyper's support team.
It is annoying the first dock had issues, but that is not GadgetHyper's job, that is the job of the QA team of Flydigi.
With that said, the Flydigi's After Sales team quickly acted with Emily, so i have no issues with Flydigi.

I would like to offer my praise to Emily for assisting throughout this experience with their customer service.

My First Controller

The Vader 5 Pro is one of the best controllers of all time. It has Hall Effect sticks and it has 8 additional buttons. The rubberised grips worked very well on my hands and it was overall ergonomic. The only problems I faced was that the adjustable stick tension rings are weird, I got the V2 of the controller but the left joystick's tension ring didn't have the tactile feedback when turning it unlike the right joystick's tension ring. My second problem was that software support did not work with IOS or MacOS' latest software versions and so I couldn't map any of the 8 additional buttons. But I knew compatibility was limited so I don't blame the controller. In conclusion this is a very good controller and well worth it for the price.

Would buy again 100%

My 8bitdo Ultimate 2 was great for FPS, however I bought the Vader 5 Pro for the additional back buttons. However, the Vader 5 Pro exceeds this controller in every way I have noticed. To include, customizable software, stick tension adjustment, vibration options, colors and more. If I had a time machine, I would buy this controller again.
