Flydigi APEX 5 Wireless Controller EVA Limited Edition

Hands down one of the best pro gaming controllers I’ve owned. I had already bought one Apex 4, but when I saw the Evo special edition I had to have it. The controller is well made and I love the 1000hz polling rate. I replaced my Dual Sense Edge and Xbox Elite Series 2 with the Apex 4 Evo because I prefer the 4 buttons on the back, compared to only having 2 with the Dual sense Edge, and the higher polling rate than the Elite Series 2. And I like that it has the button and joystick layout of an Xbox controller with adaptive triggers and Hall effect joysticks. The screen on the front that you can upload any GIF you want and being from Neon Genesis: Evangelion was just the icing on the cake. I would and do recommend this controller to everyone that wants a good pro controller. Its the best in my opinion.

First of all, a thank you to customer support. All questions I had were answered in under 24 hours.

One of the questions was about shipping. I live in Germany and normally you pay 19% import fees on the value of the goods and also customs duties above a certain amount. As was already answered in my email, both were taken over by the seller and there are no additional costs for the buyer. Thank you for that too!

Regarding shipping, it should also be said that it was very fast. I was promised 5-7 business days and the controller arrived after 6 days. Thumbs up for that.

Now to the controller itself. I'm a big fan of the Xbox Elite Controller. However, I repeatedly had technical problems with this controller. This “premium feeling” of the Elite Controller was always something I liked so much about the controller. Quite apart from the features. And you also get this premium feeling here with the Flydigi APEX 4 EVA. We'll see how it holds up after months and years of use.

I don't want to go into all of the individual features. However, it should be clearly mentioned that both the sticks and the mechanical buttons feel very good. I can't describe it, especially with the sticks, but they feel so good. The fact that they are also Hall Effect Sticks makes it even better.

However, what I could do without and which is the only thing about the controller that I don't like is the LCD screen. Certainly something useful for some, but not so much for me. Unfortunately, I haven't found an option in the software to turn it off yet.

And since I mentioned the word software, a few more words about that. I find the software visually simple and not particularly attractive. But the setting options are largely extensive and absolutely serve their purpose. Better than some software from bigger brands.

The cool design of the controller and all the goodies are really nice and look great. I have to admit, I don't know the Evangelion series at all and was inspired purely by the design. To me, that was worth the extra cost compared to the standard APEX 4 controller design. Fans of the series will probably have even more fun with the controller and the design.

In the end, I can give a clear purchase recommendation for this controller. For me there is currently nothing better on the market.

I ordered this controller last month, and after tracking it for quite some time. it appeared to become lost in shipping. However, thanks to emailing customer support and being in contact with GadgetHyper's email. We managed to get things sorted out and a replacement was sent out. This time it showed up quite quickly! It took 8 days after being given the tracking link .

Thank you so much for the controller, as well as the stellar support. Even with the issue with shipping, I still will give five stars simply for the wonderful customer service, and amazing controller.

I'd had my APEX 4 controller from GadgetHyper for a week now and I LOVE IT! I strictly used an Elite 2 controller as countless other popular controller missed the mark. Huge Flydigi fan now! Trust all the reviews you see about this! I was skeptical about quality since that's is pretty high on my list, but the EVA Flydigi blew me away! I primarily play FPS like Halo and Apex.

If I had some wishlist items:
I would love the swappable joystick ease like the Elite. These you have to pull with some force to remove vs the magnetic from the elite.
The new Vader 4 has the tension joystick adjustment which is brilliant. Apex 4 you have to remove the joysticks and then the faceplate. Longer process, but you do feel a radical tension difference.
An actual physical trigger lock. The adaptive triggers can program trigger locks and it does work well.

Everybody needs to experience this controller!

One of the best controllers I have used so far. The sticks feel really fluid and having the ability to adjust it's tension makes lets me have the same feeling as all my other controllers. The grips are made of very good quality rubber so it doesn't stick yet keeps a good grip leaving no worry for it slipping out of hand. Triggers and buttons feel wonderful with my only issue being the triggers feeling as if they are too loose (or stiff depending on the settings). The weight is definitely heavier then most standard and some higher end controllers but it doesn't cause any problems.

Overall completely satisfied and will be putting more hours into it.
