Pro Controller Weekly Roundup Vol. 16: Flydigi's Edgerunners 2 Controllers, Razer's Open-Shell Teaser, and a Packed GameSir Week
Welcome back to the Pro Controller Weekly Roundup, Vol. 16. This week, Flydigi shows off its Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 hardware and recruits testers for a symmetric-stick FPS controller, Mojhon teases two very different projects, Razer puts some serious holes in a PS5 controller, EasySMX prepares a budget wired pad, and GameSir closes things out with three pieces of news. Let's get into it.
Missed last week? Catch up on Vol. 15: Collab Season.
This roundup is adapted with authorization from the weekly controller news video by Bilibili creator 椒盐橘子桔子 (Jiaoyan Juzi) — watch the original video. We've added our own context.
Flydigi's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Collab Moves From Announcement to Hardware
Flydigi showed its Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 collaboration at Game Fusionfest, with products based on the Vader 5S series on display. The current expectation is that the two versions are the previously spotted Vader 5S and Vader 5S Ultra, but that model mapping remains unconfirmed, so don't treat it as the final lineup just yet.
According to the source video, the displayed products already looked close to finished. That is encouraging, but it is not the same thing as a release date. Pricing, exact specifications, and launch timing are all still to be announced. If the original collaboration announcement was the signal, this week at least gives us a look at the hardware direction.
Flydigi Is Also Exploring a Symmetric-Stick FPS Controller
Flydigi has opened recruitment for internal testing of a symmetric-stick controller aimed at FPS play. There is no product name, design reveal, or specification sheet yet.
The appeal is straightforward: some players prefer symmetrical stick placement for aim-heavy games, and another serious option would be welcome. The source video expects more brands to enter this category. That broader forecast is speculation, but Flydigi's testing program itself is real — and it tells us the company is at least exploring beyond its usual shape.
Mojhon Teases the Aether Ultra and Blitz 3
Mojhon has released early teaser information for the Aether Ultra (a temporary English name) and Blitz 3. If the early guesses prove right, these two controllers could occupy very different ends of the lineup.
The Aether Ultra is expected by the source video to be a modest update aimed at entry-level players. Mojhon has not confirmed its positioning or what exactly will change, so for now, file this one under “promising but mostly unknown.”
The Blitz 3, meanwhile, is being talked about as the next flagship. Packaging shown in the teaser suggests a generous accessory bundle, including a charging dock in the standard box. That would be a practical inclusion rather than a separate add-on, although the final box contents still need official confirmation.
The bigger question is the shell. We agree with the source video that the Blitz 2's grip comfort was not its strongest point. A more accommodating shape could matter more than another spec bump, especially during longer sessions. Whether Mojhon will change the mold or overall design language remains unknown.
Razer's PS5-Licensed Controller Goes Open-Shell
Razer has released two teaser videos for an officially licensed PS5 controller with large cutouts across the front. The look recalls the open-shell style used on lightweight gaming mice, but the controller's name, specifications, weight, price, and launch date are all still under wraps.
Our read lines up with the source video: this looks primarily like an aesthetic statement. Shaving a few grams can transform a mouse, but controllers typically sit somewhere around 200–300 grams. Even if a design like this removed roughly 10 grams — and no such figure has been announced here — the difference would probably be less dramatic in the hand. For now, the visual design is the story, not a confirmed competitive weight advantage.
EasySMX Is Preparing an Entry-Level Wired Controller
EasySMX is preparing an entry-level wired controller with support for PC, PS4, and Switch. The price has not been announced, and the company is keeping the design hidden for now.
The source video describes the mold as comfortable and somewhat familiar-looking, but until the product is shown, that is a second-hand teaser rather than something we can evaluate. The platform list is the useful detail for now; the exact features and compatibility implementation remain to be seen.
GameSir Partners With the Guangzhou Loong Lions Team
GameSir has partnered with the Guangzhou Loong Lions Team on a special G7 Pro. The team identity is built into the controls and accessories: the D-pad is shaped around the team logo, a Guangzhou wordmark appears on the right grip, and the charging dock includes a detail inspired by the Canton Tower.
The result looks genuinely fresh. Instead of simply applying a logo to a standard shell, the design gives each surface a specific job. Pricing and release information have not been announced.
Two Miami-Style G7 Pro Editions Join the Party
GameSir also showed two Miami-style G7 Pro editions. There is no specific game license to report here; this is about visual style. The palette and coastal mood may remind you of a certain blockbuster game currently scheduled for December. We won't spell it out.
Think aesthetic nod, not confirmed crossover. Release details are still to be announced.
GameSir's Tegenaria Wireless Is Back on the Radar
Finally, GameSir has been dropping fresh hints about the Tegenaria Wireless (a temporary English name). An official teaser is expected next, according to comments highlighted in the source video.
The source expects sales to begin around the November 11 shopping period, but no firm release date has been confirmed. This controller has been anticipated for a while, so official details — rather than calendar guesses — are what we're watching for.
That's Vol. 16: Flydigi is experimenting with both collaborations and controller shape, Mojhon and Razer are keeping their cards close, and GameSir apparently decided one announcement was not enough. See you next week.
