Hey GadgetHyper fam! Ray here. Welcome to the very first installment of our brand-new Weekly Controller Roundup — a column we're launching on our official site to bridge the gap between global hardware innovations and competitive players worldwide. Our goal is to bring you the freshest controller drops, hardware rumors, and tech updates without forcing you to dig through dozens of forums.

Since this is our debut run, we'd love to get your feedback — drop a comment at the bottom to let us know what you think of the format.

For this launch edition, we've casually teamed up with Bilibili tech creator 椒盐橘子桔子 (Salt & Pepper Orange) to translate and adapt their 10th weekly industry report, blending the hottest hardware news from the Asian scene with our own dealer insights. Let's dive straight in.

EasySMX

EasySMX Teases an "Area 51" Styled 8K UFO Controller — Meet the Dune

EasySMX Dune 8K Controller

EasySMX Dune — 8K polling rate teaser  ·  Tap to enlarge

EasySMX just dropped a teaser image for their first-ever 8K polling rate controller, officially named the Dune — and the industrial design is certainly bold. They went all-in on an aggressive, alien-mecha aesthetic featuring a highly visible outer exoskeleton structure. To top it off, the companion charging dock is shaped like a literal UFO flying saucer.

It's one of those polarizing designs that will either make you say "Shut up and take my money" or "My eyes are bleeding." What score are you giving this look out of 10?

Item 03

SCUF

SCUF Omega Edition Debuts at $219 (Signaling a Huge Pivot)

SCUF Omega Edition Controller

SCUF Omega Edition — $219 USD  ·  Tap to enlarge

SCUF has officially launched the SCUF Omega Edition, starting at a hefty $219 USD.

Looking at their product roadmap over the past couple of years, this release highlights a major industry shift: SCUF seems to be gradually moving away from its roots in the custom/modded controller business and leaning heavily into the officially licensed, built-from-scratch hardware route. It raises a great question for gearheads: are aesthetic shell mods losing the battle to proprietary, first-party engineering?

Item 04

GameSir

GameSir Unveils the G7 Pro 8K PC — Royal2 Edition

GameSir G7 Pro 8K PC — Royal2 Edition  ·  Tap to enlarge

GameSir has officially teased a stunning new variant for the international market: the GameSir G7 Pro 8K PC — Royal2 Edition.

The design theme is centered around a gorgeous, deep-space starry night aesthetic. GameSir has been absolutely killing the performance-per-dollar meta lately, and adding a pro-tier 8K polling rate option with this level of visual polish is a massive win for PC gamers. We'll keep you updated on its official shipping schedule as soon as we get word.

LEADJOY

LEADJOY "Saber Plus" Symmetrical FPS Controller Drops May 20

LEADJOY Lightsaber Plus Controller

LEADJOY Lightsaber Plus — releases May 20  ·  Tap to enlarge

For competitive FPS players who swear by a symmetrical stick layout, the LEADJOY Lightsaber Plus finally has an official release date: May 20th at 18:00.

Fun insider fact: the development team behind LEADJOY is actually the former core engineering team from BIGBIG WON (Mojhon) — so they know a thing or two about professional tuning. Alongside the originally leaked black version, they've surprised us with a clean all-white model. The overseas price is still TBC.

Exclusive Update: Want to guarantee your unit on day one? Official pre-orders for the LEADJOY Lightsaber Plus are now live right here on GadgetHyper! Skip the global queues and secure your symmetrical FPS monster early through our storefront.

Item 06

Abxylute

Abxylute's "Unibody Brick" Concept for the Nintendo Switch 2

Abxylute Unibody Controller for Nintendo Switch 2

Abxylute Unibody Brick — Nintendo Switch 2 accessory concept  ·  Tap to enlarge

Abxylute just teased a fascinating — and slightly bizarre — accessory designed for the Switch 2 in handheld mode. Instead of traditional split Joy-Con alternatives, they've designed a solid unibody frame.

You essentially slide the entire Switch 2 console right into the center of the rigid controller housing, turning it into a non-stretchable mobile gaming setup. If you absolutely hate the slight rail wobble of standard handheld configurations, this might be your holy grail.

Item 07

Flydigi

Flydigi's Surprise Collab: Direwolf 4 x Arknights: Endfield

Flydigi Direwolf 4 Arknights Endfield Edition

Flydigi Direwolf 4 — Arknights: Endfield Edition  ·  Tap to enlarge

Flydigi just announced a brand-new collaboration model: the Direwolf 4 Endfield Edition.

This caught a lot of hardware enthusiasts off guard. Most fans assumed Flydigi would save a massive gaming IP collab like Arknights: Endfield for their flagship Vader or Apex lines. Choosing the budget-friendly Direwolf series is an interesting tactical play. The big question now: will the Direwolf 4 follow the Direwolf 3's footsteps and implement mechanical microswitch ABXY buttons?

Item 08

PowerA

PowerA Drops a Fortnite Collab, But Is It Too Late?

PowerA Fortnite Licensed Controller

PowerA Fortnite Licensed Controller  ·  Tap to enlarge

PowerA announced a new Fortnite-licensed controller. On paper, the specs look decent — featuring Hall Effect joysticks and 3-way trigger locks.

However, looking at the current state of the market — especially with what eastern brands are offering under $50 — PowerA's internal tech stack is starting to feel incredibly outdated. In terms of pure performance-per-dollar value, standard Western licensed pads like this are struggling hard to stay competitive against the current wave of 1000Hz+ mechanical monsters.
